Equine Work Experience
I've always been very fond of horses and started riding at 5 years old in a close-by riding school. Over the years I've had a couple of horses to take care of, including a couple of Haflingers, a KWPN and since 2004 also a couple of Arabians. In the meanwhile I started working as a tour guide on horseback in my school vacations on the beaches of the Netherlands. That included guiding customers around, saddling and grooming the 60 horses, ofcourse feeding them, mucking out, taking care of all the tack and some basic first aid.
I'd say I'm pretty experienced with handling, riding and caring for Arabian horses, their temperament really suits me. I've been envolved in the endurance sport since 2006 as a rider, crew-member and volunteer. I also was member of the board for the Dutch endurance club.
