I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
I have a younger sister and 6 younger cousins which I look after when my family is not able to. I am very patient with children and really like to teach them fun things I know. Family is something very important to me and I take great pride in them. I am a very responsible, organized and dedicated student, working hard is something I am very good at.
I am currently a High School student but will finish school in May 2018. I plan on taking a year off before starting college (Architecture major) to learn and work.
I started riding when I was 8 years old but had to stop when I turned 12 years old. I was able to ride for a couple of summer breaks after I turned 12. It has always remained my passion and it has been the only sport I have been good at. The first trainer I had was very demanding of me, which was intimidating at first but it only made me a better rider. It made me patient and disciplined. Always motivating me to give my best effort.
I love to travel, draw, read and spend time outdoors. Exercise is a huge part of my life and I really enjoy it. I am fluent in English and Spanish, but I also know basic German and some French. I would really like to be able to learn more French since I love to learn different languages. I love animals and love to spend time outdoors, unfortunately I live in a very large city with not much countryside but my family and I really like to hike or go on our bikes whenever we have a chance.
I was taught English style and had some dressage and showjumping basics but I pursued showjumping.
