I finished 2 years of veterinary school (LUHS).

I am currently doing online courses in Guelph university.

I have worked officially in one stable for a year, as a competition and yard groom, taking care of the horses and exercising them. During this time I have been a groom at endurance and showjumping competitions. At the yard I would much out, turn out the mares, stallions and geldings, feed them, lunge or ride them. I would also work with tourists and clients, leading groups on trail rides and doing introductory lessons.

I have also worked as a trainer/helper in a summer camp with horses. I would teach beginners basics, feed and tack up the horses as well as watch over the kids during their free time.

I have been working with horses for around 8 years, during those years I have learned to handle weanlings, stallions and larger/hotter horses. During this time I have given occasional lessons to beginners, lead tourist and trekking groups.

Due to shadowing veterinarians and farriers, I am able to take care of minor injuries, such as cuts, taking care of hoof issues, such as thrush.

I am quick at most stable jobs, such as mucking out, and I always make sure to do a thorough job.

I have ridden stallions, youngsters, mares and geldings of all sizes and temperaments on the flat and jumping up to 80cm with some of them. I have worked with my trainer helping him start a horse, although I am not confident in starting one alone yet. I am however confident in ground work with all horses from youngsters to older horses.

I have been a competition groom for about a year, helping in showjumping and endurance competitions, plaiting and clipping them beforehand. I have also been a warmup rider in 2 competitions. I have also helped set up one endurance competition in 2023 at the barn I worked at. I am quick on my feet and can deal with chaotic competition atmospheres.
