I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
Many years of experience in the world of horses since I was nine years old. More experience with show jumping horses, having practiced this type of specialty. During these years I have learned to work flat with horses, to work them from the ground and of course I have learned everything there is to know about horse care. By necessity, many notions concerning the health of the horse have also been learned and therefore also the resolution, with the technique, of the major problems that the same can present (back pain, disjointed horse etc ...).
Excellent handling of horses in general. Young horses are not a problem, on the contrary, the undersigned is able to introduce them in the path of the sport horse.
I have always worked with show jumping horses, even young horses to introduce to this sport. The main rule that I have always followed, however, is respect for the horse: I don't usually use coercive methods to shorten the time or to subdue the horse. Tools such as spurs and whip are, as far as I'm concerned, aids of the knight and not tools of submission.
In the past I have done several show jumping competitions. I then stopped for study reasons
