I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. I am a veterinary surgeon, graduated with honours in Perugia, in October 2018. During the university, I won two scholarships, the first to visit the University of Florida and attend the clinic for large animals. The second to attend the activities of the Center of Equine Studies at Newmarket Animal Health Trust. I have attended several specialized courses for a fee, I can present certificates for orthopedic courses, cardiology, head diseases, etc.
In the last year, I was an assistant at a veterinary facility specialized in horses located in Rome. From cleaning the paddocks to setting up MRI examinations, I never pulled back. I love horses, work with them and for them, it honours me.
I was born in a family that has always lived on horses, I started to build maybe at 4.5 years of age. Despite this, my first competitions came to 15 years of age, and always related to the summer so as not to distract me from my studies. I have never had the qualification to jump races above 1.35 meters, but I have always spent all my free time in jumping stables.
.Currently, my specialities range from the clinical evaluation of lameness, great love, to the diagnosis and management of abdominal colic syndromes of the horse. I have always received compliments from the clientele for how I can make useful manoeuvres to the clinic without annoying the horse; from clipping to the application of shock waves. I have a good experience in removing shoes without damaging the hoof wall, my responsibility in preparing horses for MRI exams.
My first teacher was Mario Maini, an Italian rider awarded first by the French and German federations, before the Italian one. From 11 to 18 years I mounted in a trading stable where, during the summer, I took care of 10 horses a day, participate in stage and competitions with several horses and I will always remember as a very happy period. With the university, I had little time to ride but I managed to carry on a young horse up to 1.35 international.
I have never had the opportunity to compete continuously, I have had the good fortune of riding many young horses, but I only took part in a competition dedicated to young horses. In 2014 I managed to make my best season managing to place myself in the 1.35 of the Tuscany Tour in Arezzo. I have always been present in the test field, I find it in my natural environment.
