I've been riding since I was 5. At the age of 12 I had my very own pony and went on competitions with him until it became very hard for me to find the time to do both the training (6 days a week) and the studying! So I eventually had to stop also because the time had come for me to upgrade to a higher level of show jumping, which required a new horse. Though I've always done show jumping, my passion for dressage has never stopped. So I may not have that much of an experience in pirouettes and passage but I sure know what is required in order to properly prepare a horse. Being dressage and plain workout the basis of show jumping and the other disciplines!
I trained in show jumping when I was competing the weekends. Since I had to stop I've been riding other peoples horses. The training they expected me to do was basically to warm up the horse or to ride it without doing extraordinary exercises. We usually did things such as Half-pass, Halt, Shoulder In ecc
