I have completed Certificate in Horsemanship (Equitation) - QQI Level 5. This course included exams on clipping, turn out, bandaging, T.P.R., Anatomy and Physiology, Horse Breeding, loading, lunging, loose schooling, driving/long reining and riding. I am currently doing Advanced Certificate in Horsemanship - QQI Level 6 in Kildalton College. By the end of this course in April I will have occupational First Aid and Child Protection courses finished.
I am currently studying at Kildalton College, Piltown, Kilkenny. I have completed a course in Horsemanship Level 5 in Kildalton and I will have completed level 6 in Horsemanship at the end of April.
I have worked in many riding schools and livery yards such as Devil's Glen (Ashford), Killegar (Enniskerry) and Ger Lawless Livery Yard (Delgany). In the summer 2017, I was asked to be a working pupil for 5 weeks at Kildalton College. This work involved riding every day, handling mares and foals, young horses and the care of competing Top level dressage horse and eventing horses.
I can exercise schoolmasters and competition horses. I can school inexperienced and young horses. I have ridden a wide range of types and breeds of horses and I am comfortable doing flatwork and show jumping.
I have competed in small riding school show jumping and dressage competitions. I have also rode in hunter trials and charity rides in Enniskerry.
