Equine Work Experience
Riding horses for 8 years, worked on a racing yard for a brief time, volunteered with the Irish Horse Welfare trust for for 5 months, worked in riding schools, trekking centres, grooming horses for hunts, show jumping, clipping and aiding with clipping difficult horses, handling youngstock, I have backed my own horse, aiding farriers and vets, feeding, general yard duties, I spent time communicating with customers of several nationalities and abilities, I spent a lot of time leading out treks, working with children riding ponies and in lessons. I am used to have many responsibilities, taking sole charge.
I have my BHS Stage 1 and my Riding Road and Safety certificate.
Type of Ride Work
Previously show jumped, now focus on flatwork, walk, trot, canter, up to a year ago I was riding young horses, helping the leader of the trek on horseback, riding in forests and so on.
Have only competed a handful of times in show jumping, mainly groomed horses for competition and helped riders.
