Qualifications

I've completed a 2 year training course where I received a Level 6 Higher Certificate in Horsemanship and Equitation in Kildalton College, Ireland where I also obtained my teaching qualification. This qualification allows me to teach in AIRE approved riding schools. The course modules included Anatomy/Physiology, Breeding, Communications, Equine Business, Sport Horse Riding, Breaking and Training, Lunging, Nutrition and Teaching.

Equine Work Experience

I have been working with horses for 14 years. I'm currently working as a Riding School Instructor and Trekking Guide on a 500 acre estate. Current duties include daily running of the stables such as mucking out, feeding, turning out, and general animal husbandry.

Type of Ride Work

I school horses on the flat, with a small amount of jump work. I am also regularly trail riding/hacking. In my current position I'm handling 4 year olds from the ground, and lunging them on a regular basis.
