I have a Certificate in Equine Science from the University of Limerick.

I am currently working with yearlings and breakers, which involves tacking up and using the walker. I have participated in sales preparation, such as showing with yearlings. I have worked with pregnant mares and with mares and foals.

I have spent the last year working as a stud hand at Ballylinch Stud in Kilkenny.

I had the opportunity to work with most equine stock including Barren mares, pregnant mares, foals to yearlings.

I have assisted at many coverings. My duties were to prepare the mare for the covering by washing her and checking that the paperwork was in order, unloading and loading the mare if she was a 'walk in', teasing the mare to see if she would be receptive to the stallion and holding the mare while she was being covered.

I am a hard working and determined individual who strives under pressure. I ask questions and listen to all instructions that are given to me clearly. I love learning new things and i am a very keen observer.

I have been given the responsibility to manage a barn of mares and foals which included making treatments and assisting with farriers and veterinarians.

I have shown yearlings and mares and foals for clients.
