Duties of Current Occupation
Work rider at The Callao warmblood stud Farm: breaking in and schooling young horses. Riding on the flat, schooling jumping, cross country, in hand schooling, lunging, long reining, hacking, grooming, feeding. Yard manager at a farm prior.
Equine Work Experience
I have ridden and worked with horses for 15 years. Riding school, competing, stud work, breaking in, ground work, groom duties, basic medical care, feeding, tacking up, handling and riding difficult horses.
Specialities
The Callao stud farm has over 500 horses where I worked with stallions, foals, all ages of horses young to old. I have previously managed a farm of 7 horses prior where I’d ride and school the horses there.
Type of Ride Work
I have a wide range of experience in riding, where I have ridden young, older, lazy, hot, all types. I have and experience in all sorts of breeds too. Trained off the track thoroughbreds for sales. Backed and schooled Arabians. I have taken South African warmblood youngsters through the process of backing and schooling in preparation for auction. I have done show jumping, lower grade dressage, cross country, hunting, flatwork. At the stud farm I rode and or lunged up to 13 horses a day.
Competition Details
I have competed up to 1m and ridden and schooled at home up to 1.10. While competing I did not have a groom so all those duties were up to me. I would love to extend my experience and expertise in show jumping and cross country as I have a great passion for both.
