Equine Work Experience
City and Guilds qualifications in Equine and Animal Welfare from UK agriculture college after 4 years of study specifically with horses and other agriculture animals. I have been riding for 10 years and am an accomplished rider. I have worked in 2 busy riding centres in the UK and currently volunteer with an equestrian rescue centre in Galway, where i work with a number of horses from young foals to old horses who need specific care and rehabilitation. I am planning on getting my own horse as i am relocating from Galway to Ballinlough, county Roscommon.
Specialities
Care of horses, rider, meticulous worker, keen to learn and improve skill set, honest, experience of working with rescue horses who need specific care and rehabilitation. Experience with foals and young horses. Experience with old horses. Qualifications in equine and animal welfare from the UK.
Type of Ride Work
Hacking, schooling, lunging, long reining. I have ridden various horses - young, ponies, hunters, Clydesdales, cobs, nervous. I am confident on flat work and some jumping. I have not hunted. I have not broken horses in, but I have some practice with long reining and lunging. I am very keen to learn.
