I have no qualifications.
Skipping out stables and arenas , tacking up, un-tacking, helping in lessons, turn out and turn in, putting hay into stalls, sweeping the premises and collecting any droppings and hand walking horses after lessons if they needed to cool down.
I have experience from 2014-2016 in Kill Equestrian Centre and I was in the advanced group while I was there. I am now riding at Calliaghstown Equestrian Centre and I have been riding there since November 2020 but due to lock-down I haven't been since the end of December. I picked up where I left off in 2016 and I can walk, trot, canter and jump un-aided. While volunteering in Calliaghstown I have gotten even more equine experience and I am feeling much more confident with horses because of this.
I am a very friendly, welcoming person, I am hard working and enjoy a challenge and I am organised and reliable. If i was helping in a beginners lesson I would talk to the rider (mostly about their pony/horse) to make them feel comfortable and help ease their nerves, I would be very patient with them as I know it's very nerve wrecking to get onto such a big animal for the first time and even times after that. I have also brushed down horses/ponies that have come in from being out at day/night.
I am currently riding a mare in my lessons who is about 16.3hh i think, we do a warm up which would be walking, trotting and changing diagonals, then we move onto cantering and jumping but sometimes we just do flat work lessons or no stirrups.
I have not competed.
