Duties of Current Occupation
Currently working in healthcare for elderly with extensive experience. Looking to transition professionally to equine care having owned my own horses for almost 20 years.
Equine Work Experience
I currently own 3 horses and take full care of a 4th. Ranging from 5yrs to 32yrs old. I got my first horse when I was 12 who I still have today. I have backed my own horses also. I am in the process of rebacking my 5 almost 6 year old. I believe in safety and understanding over speed. Most of my experience is with newly rescued horses and quite young horses. I have worked short periods in local riding schools. I have completed work experience in a veterinary surgery mostly catering to small animals but some large animals at times. I have good knowledge of both human and animal wound care.
Specialities
Particular experience in groundwork with high strung/past trauma/behavioural cases
Type of Ride Work
My special interest is groundwork and handling but I am a generally competent and calm rider. I primarily flat work and hack out in the last number of years.
Competition Details
I have not worked on a competition yard. I have volunteered and helped friends yards, riding schools/livery and rescue yards. I do not have personal competition experience
