I completed my 2 years in Kildalton both level 5 and level 6 horsemanship. We worked a lot of the time in teams as well as taking on leadership roles such as supervising a yard for half of my second year. We worked on our skills such as grooming, clipping pulling manes, bandaging and treating ailments etc I completed my teaching module where we learned how to teach beginners to experienced riders in lead rain to jumping lessons. Riding: I also got to spend 2 years learning from some of the best to work on my riding skills dressage and basic flat, jumping and cross country. I also completed my breaking module working with an unhandled breaker lunging, loose jumping, long reining and riding as well as general stable skills with young horses.
I worked for John shark Hanlon racing yard as ground staff for 5 months before college.
I took on an orphan foal at 3 months and have handled him and recent broke him as a 3 year old as well as helping around on other friends yards.
I have experience working with broodmares, yearlings and breakers and some experience with foals and a teaser.
I work great in a team.
I am hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic and have a huge love for animals and horses.
I am patient responsible and empathetic as I have always loved working with both people and animals.
I have broken a pony and recently started riding him he’s very green and very fresh. I rode flat jumping and cross country in Kildalton on both green, fresh and some problem horses as well as well produced calm horses. I have also ridden in a riding school and at home on quieter horses.
In Kildalton level 6 I helped organise a showjumping event for level 5 I also competed in a dressage test. Over the bhs exams I was a groom for multiple horses preparing them for the exams We also had to groom for our exams where we were riding flat, in showjumping and cross country.
