There are no standard qualifications offered in South India. I do however have several years of IDDL tests and videos on several horses of differing levels.
Hi, I am a student in an international high school in South India. I have just graduated finishing with International A Levels in Biology, Mathematics, English Literature and Economics.
I have spent the last eleven years around horses. I started learning to ride bareback, transitioned to the ground work of Parelli and finally now study traditional English style riding.
My primary interest in the last year has been dressage, but I am capable of jumping at low heights and have jumped at competitions. I have taught younger students at our school, and assisted in classes for adults. Furthermore I have in the last couple of years been involved in the training of horses for the students of the school. Retraining the older horses when they start to misbehave and teaching ex-race horses the fundamentals of dressage.
I have competed at several competitions. I have six years of experience stewarding in the warm-up arenas of our anual competitions.
Recently I have also started to observe an occasionaly assist in the trimming of the ponies hooves, which I hope has given me a better understanding of hooves.
Teaching horse-riding in basic French if required, as well as working with both younger and older beginners. I have taught basic posting and gate transitions to many people. I am also good at Math if you would need help in the office.
Predominately dressage and flatwork geared towards building the flexibility and movement of horses. I have also done a lot of hacking out and accustoming the horses to being outside.
I have competed in many IDDLs over the years, in some I have come second and in one first place. At my current riding school we have an annual competition, in which I have competed for the last six years. I have jumped up to 90 cm in competitions and placed often with slow but clear rounds. I have also competed twice at other stables. As a foreigner in India I am excluded from all nationals so have only been able to attend regional shows.
