Duties of Current Occupation

I have worked as a groom/helper in my youth at my local yard and worked as a neurology nurse for 3 years. Responsibilties, roles and tasks have all been in these fields. I am fluent in english and german.

Equine Work Experience

I have started riding at 9 years old in a riding school and continued learning in riding schools until I was 18. I have learned dressage and jumping there and then continued to have several horse participations with different focus points. My first riding participation was a 27 year old Haflinger who only went on hacks. I took care of her for a year before she passed. The second participation was a 7 year old Quarter Pony, whom I took care of for roughly 15 months before the owner had to sell him. Later on I took care of a german riding pony (24 years old) for about 4 years. We mostly went on hacks, lunged or worked in the outdoor arena. There I learned a lot about medical treatment since the pony had several illnesses. Following I have now been taking care currently of a 12 year old warmblood and a 19 year old norwegian horse. I am secure with frightened and easily spooked horses and have a secure seat. I can safely ride in all three paces, but I'm not a dressage rider.

Specialities

From my experience in nursing and being an occupational therapist, I have great social and people skills. I can work well in a team and on my own, I handle pressure well and I remain steady under stress. I have worked with people of all ages, children and people with disabilities.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden all different types of horses from ponies like german riding ponies, haflinger, quarter ponies and more to warmblood horses, ex-racers and arabians. I have learned the base level of dressage and can move and work a horse correctly but I am no dressage rider. I have learned jumping for two years, but haven't jumped in a long time. Lastly I have a lot of hack experience with secure but also easily spooked horses.
