We are highly flexible and open to working in any country. With experience across Europe and the U.S., we adapt quickly to new environments. Unfortunately, our U.S. visa expires at the end of this year.Qualifications
We both completed the 4-year education at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, certified as professional dressage riders. We hold the Spanish riding certificates: Galope 7 in Dressage and Doma Vaquera, comparable to the US Bronze, Silver, Gold medals. Jennifer has a Bachelor’s in Translation and Interpretation (German, Spanish, Russian). We are multilingual: Jennifer speaks German, English, Russian, Spanish; Emilio speaks English and Spanish.
Duties of Current Occupation
Completed 4-year training at the Royal Andalusian School incl. starting young horses & classical dressage. Now working at Marta Renilla’s dressage barn (TX), training sales horses from young to FEI level, show prep & client presentation.
Equine Work Experience
We completed a four-year professional program at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Spain, receiving training up to Grand Prix level. Our instruction included classical dressage, High School work, and starting young horses under renowned trainers such as Olympic rider Rafael Soto, Juan Matute, Belén Bautista, and others. As performers in “Even Horse,” Sevilla’s leading equestrian show, we contributed to its development and participated in nationwide exhibitions featuring Pas de Deux, carousel, Working Equitation, Doma Vaquera, and in-hand work. Our education also involved handling foals, veterinary support, farrier coordination, and presenting sales horses to clients. We are now based at Marta Renilla’s internationally recognized dressage facility in Houston, TX, where we are responsible for training sales horses from Young horse levels up to higher levels, present them to prospective buyers, teach lessons, and produce professional sales pictures and Videos.
Specialities
During our four-year education at the Royal Andalusian School, we worked exclusively with stallions and performed initial training with foals. In Houston, we lead the rider team, manage turnout, and oversee boarders, clients for horse sales, and stable staff. Specialties include classical dressage up to Haute École, starting young horses, stallion handling, team leadership, and turnout management.
Type of Ride Work
At the Royal Andalusian School in Spain, we worked almost exclusively with PRE horses, focusing on classical dressage and advanced flatwork. Here in Houston, we primarily train Warmbloods and some Iberian breeds, specializing in dressage training, starting young horses, and individualized development plans. We emphasize precision, consistency, and the highest standards of horsemanship and welfare in all our work.
Competition Details
We competed in Spain with 4- to 7-year-old horses in FEI age-specific dressage tests and rode up to medium level in Alta Escuela. In Houston, we successfully presented young horses at training and first level, and also competed up to FEI level Prix St. Georges. We seek to join a dressage stable offering opportunities to compete at the highest levels. We are hardworking, focused, and committed to excellence.
