I am a engineer student ; I studied physics and chemistry for the past three years in France. I have a gap year and I want to use it in order to fufill my passion for horses.
Equine Work Experience
I have been riding for 15 years and so would consider myself a confident rider. I do have the "galop 7", which stand for the highest qualification I could have as a non professional horse rider in France (it is almost equivalent with a BHS stage 3). I have always got really involved in the life of my riding school : from taking part in the organisation of some events to help grooming and mucking. I have also done an internship in a stable in England for a few weeks. I have been working a lot of different horses (mares, geldings, ponies) on the flat work and the jumping one.
In facts, even if I have a lot to learn, I am a very serious girl that can do all the barn duties (feeding, mucking..) and take care of horse (preparation, bathing, lunging..). I am also very motivated for any type of work that is offered to me.
Type of Ride Work
I have been riding a lot of different horses but especially mares. I do not have problems with stallions (except if they are very dangerous). I did not handle a lot of very young horses but I worked on a few 5/6 years old. Indeed, I do not know how to start a horse but I am willing to learn it.
I did a lot of jumping and flat work but I am more and more interested in dressage. I did a bit of eventing. I also go outside with ease, even alone.
I have only competed in show jumping competition in France. I have had a mare that brought me to Amateur competitions (110cm), we would regularly finish with a clear round.
