Since 2022, I have been employed as a sales manager in Normandy, France, selling dairy products in the food retail sector across the north west region. Prior to this, I set-up and ran my own bed and breakfast/gite business (2004-2022).

I have not personally worked for a professional but I am looking for a career change. One of my daughters works for a professional rider so I am aware of the industry.

My grandfather was a hobby pony breeder. From an early age, I helped at a local stable in exchange for rides. I progressed to leading hacks, hunting and then grooming for an amateur éventer. I continued to ride for leisure until moving to rural France in 2001 when I actually bought my first horse. For the past 23 years, I have had horses at home, ranging from shetland ponies to French trotter brood mares. I have managed 5 foaling seasons for 3-4 mares and for the past 12 years my two daughters have had various ponies competing on the French show jumping circuit. Between 2014 and 2018 I ran a small DIY livery yard. Today I own two equines, a retired Welsh section A and our sport pony who is out on loan before retiring in 18 months time to become my happy hacker. My daughter works for a professional. I am bilingual.

From the age of 10, I worked at a local stable, performing pony care/yard duties in return for rides. This progressed to leading hacks, hunting and then grooming for the owner who was an amateur eventer.

Since 2001, when I moved to France, I have owned horses including part ownership of French trotter brood mares (5 breeding seasons) along with ownership of various equines from Shetlands to children’s sport ponies. My two daughters both competed on the French pony showjumping circuit.

I have breeding, starting and young horse experience but I am looking for a post which would be hacking and fitness work only

I have competed only at riding club level but would be capable and interested to help organize an event
