Eager rider and former horse owner looking for work in the Southeast Florida area/ West Palm. I have been around horses my entire childhood and am looking to gain experience in the equine industry now that I am older. I am a quick learner, easily able to adapt, and have a natural passion for horses.
currently studying to become an animal attendant. After my current school i'm either gonna start working abroad (germany/holland/UK are my current countries i thinking of) or i'm going to go study in a school specifically teaching about breaking in youngsters and training horses. I would prefer getting real working experience, than going to school!
I've got experience in all types of stable work. I have had a lease horse and a lease pony, one for a year and the other for 3 years now. I haven't worked as a real groom but i have done everything that the job includes. I think i could give beginner lessons if i had the chance to do so.
I'm very hardworking and always eager to learn more! I have some experience in working with foals, mainly desensitizing them to new stuff, havent had the chance to actually break in a youngster, but that is one dream of mine. My experience with stallions is just leading some, but i have watched and learned about handling and teaching stallions from my old barn. I did all types of stablework at my previous barn, i work quickly but make sure to do my job well
I've mostly ridden with my lease irish cob, who was an sporty young horse. My other lease pony who is an shetlandpony, with the shetland i have done everything you an think of, long reining, lunging, dressage, hacking, jumping, "running barrels", bareback, everything you can think of. I've kept up with my riding skills with regular coaching by different teachers at different barns, and have high hopes of being a horse trainer and a competitor some day.
I don't have other experience in competing or being a groom there, other than helping some of my friends at competitions by being their groom, where i got the horse ready for them (plaited, bandaged, groomed, saddled and warmed the horse from the ground for a while.
