I have been riding for 9 years and during these years I have gained a lot of experience at riding and other equine work. When I was younger, I used to spend a lot of time at the stables helping out with the horses and stable work, learning a lot. I have done a lot of volunteer work at my riding school as a voluntary horse groom. The work included tacking up, grooming, turning out, handling different horses and helping out beginners of all ages. This summer (and some previous summers) I have been volunteering as a summer camp helper at a riding school. There I mostly did basic stable work, kept the yard tidy and helped the riders with tacking up horses. I haven't had employment/ done paid work / had a work contract in an equestrian environment.

I have received instructions, training and lessons from professionals on how to handle horses and keep things up to a high standard. I pay attention to details and keep horses and the yard tidy. I value horsemanship and friendly handling of the horses.

For the most part I have ridden at a riding school. We have many kinds of horses there, so my experience with different horses is wide. That does include young and green horses, retired dressage horses, school horses and ponies. I was often put on the newly arrived horses that needed an experienced and a brave rider to try them out. I have some experience in jumping, but my main interest is in dressage and training flat work.

I have competed in dressage, although it was on a riding school's horses and not on high-level competitions. I have also been involved in organising competitions, such as in 2019 the Finnish championships in dressage. I have also been involved in the organising of riding school competitions.
