I am working currently on a riding stable as a groom, i do everything from taking care of the horses to fixing fences and taking care of the indoor arena. I also help customers to get their horses ready. In my job i also handle foals and stallions.
I started with horses in 2003 and from there on i did lessons, horse clubs and camps for almost 10 years 2013 i started riding and training two young horses in dressage and worked with them for almost two years developing my skills. At the same time i learnt basics of how to take care of a stable, taking care of injuries and how to plan a feeding schedule exc. In 2016 i leased an icelandic horse for almost a year and did a lot of ground work. I started to get interested in natural hosemanship and did a lot of exercises with him on that and still continued to practise dressage. End of last year i spent a week at the stables of Karin Donckers in Belgium getting to know how a high-level stable workd and how it is to work there. After that i took a job near Helsinki, Finland working in a riding school as a groom and i am continuing it still.
Dressage i have worked at sexond level and done some third level exercises, show jumping at 100cm. Last time i competed or jumped was almost five years ago do to the young age of horses i have worked with.
Sadly i have no experience in western but i am interested and eager to learn. The sport has always felt like something i would love to try but in Finland it is a rare sport.
