Duties of Current Occupation

I just graduated high school in Denmark and looking for a job for my gap year where I get to see a bit of the world, while being around the animal I love the most.

Equine Work Experience

Though I don't have experience in working in a professional equestrian environment, I have worked for a local stable helping with physiotherapeutic riding for disabled people. At the same place, I had evening shifts which included letting horses in and out of the fields, feeding the horses and cleaning the stable. Furthermore, I've helped the coaches I've had throughout time at shows - everything from getting the horse ready to helping in the warmup.

Specialities

I have always been neat, kept my things tidy and cleaned up after myself in the stable. Though I have never worked with foals, stallions or broodmares, I've had horses stabled among foals and broodmares where I've had to handle them as well.

Type of Ride Work

I've been around ponies/horses since I was 4 and I almost haven't had a day without them since. I've experienced different types of horses and done showjumping up to 120cm. Most of the horses I've owned have been green when I got them, which has taught me a lot both riding wise but also personally. Specifically the green horses have taught me responsibility, patience, discipline and much more that would make me suitable for this job.

Competition Details

Though I have competed a lot myself, I have never been involved in organising competitions nor worked in competition yards or been a professional competition groom. However, I have helped out coaches at shows as mentioned earlier.
