Equine Work Experience
I have been riding horses since before I can even remember. My experience with horses has spanned from Jumping competitions to outfitting in the backcountry. I have also rode Dressage, Hunter, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Vaulting and Trail Riding. I have been a member of the Equestrian Club for the past 10 years, where I have taken part in various clinics that have included, horse first aid, natural horsemanship, starting/breaking a horse, trick training, and Parelli horsemanship. I am experience with young, nervous horses and have worked to halter and saddle break a number of colts. I ride every day and am certainly aware of the responsibility and hard work that owning and caring for a horse entails.
My specialties include: working with children (whether that may be in a personal or professional setting), outdoor adventure (rock climbing, horseback riding, rafting, canoeing, cross-country running, mountaineering) an immaculate work ethic and perseverance as well as conflict resolution skills. I am an avid learner with a curious mind, looking to work hard, travel, explore myself and learn about others.
Type of Ride Work
My experience working, professionally in a horse setting is limited as I am only 18 years old. Growing up, I would often volunteer to help out with kids horse-camps or at horse shows. More recently, I have taught a few young clients the basics of riding. I have also worked to halter/saddle break a number of colts.
