I started breaking horses and working with green horses at the age of 12 at a local ranch where I also guided trail rides.
I moved on to working at local boarding and hunter/jumper competition barns later in my teen years where my duties included occasional lesson teaching and day camps.
I spent several years working as a FEI groom for members of the Canadian Equestrian Team. I have ample experience working with veterinarians, implementing and executing physio routines, clipping, plaiting, and turning out horses for the A Circuit (hunters and jumpers).
I have worked with breeding horses and have experience with stallions and foals, though have not worked at a farm where I had an involved role in the breeding process.
Green horses, hunter/jumper horses, fitness maintenance rides for Grand Prix jumpers and A circuit hunters
I have worked as a competition groom and was competitive at the local schooling circuit level (money was always a barrier and that is why and how I ended up working as a groom)
