Eager rider and former horse owner looking for work in the Southeast Florida area/ West Palm. I have been around horses my entire childhood and am looking to gain experience in the equine industry now that I am older. I am a quick learner, easily able to adapt, and have a natural passion for horses.
I am looking for home groom position. Closer to Hamburg area, the better. I can clip, plait, bandage, treat wounds etc. Willing to go shows too. I am a teamplayer, but can work solo too. Horses health is my main priority. I am looking for long time solution. Can lounge and i would be interested to get to ride some flatwork/hacking (not necessary, just wanting i could further my skills) I would need a live in-position and would be greatful if i can take my two wellbaved cats with me :)
I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
I am currently employed by an Allied Health Service running an Animal Assisted Therapy/Learning program for people with disabilities, I have been in this role for the past 10 months. Had sole charge of 3 hunters for 2 hunt seasons, duties included feeding, transport to/from hunt, tacking/untacking. For a summer I worked as Horse Staff at Texas Lions Camp, a camp for kids with disabilities. I spent 2 years as a groom for a team of Clydesdales doing promotional work for a brewery. I had to routinely present (horses, harness, carriage/lorry and myself) to a high standard as we were primarily in the public eye, parading and doing meet and greets. I worked a season as a Jillaroo on an outback Cattle Station, mustering cattle on horseback. I was a groom at a Friesian Horse Stud for over 2 years where I assisted with breeding and conducted general yard work, mucking out, grooming, etc.
I have over 15 years experience in yard work, I am efficient at mucking out and keep a tidy yard. My attention to detail and work ethic mean I turn out to a high standard in a timely manner. In my career I have mainly worked with heavy horses Clydesdales, Friesians, etc. However, I have also worked with miniature ponies up to thoroughbreds.
I primarily have experience with retraining/re-educating, working with horses who have established basics but require further education. I am experienced in flat work but would like to focus more on the jumping/hunting side of things.
I compete at local hack shows with my own horses and have previously groomed for others at competitions/hunts/on parade.
