Cleaning stalls, lunging, exercising, feeding, turnout out

I spent 5 years as a barn hand on the weekends and in the summers where I was in charge of doing stalls, turnout, feeding and other general horse care. I also ran summer camps for 2 years teaching beginners and young children about riding and horse care. I spent six months in Ireland as a working student where I was an exercise rider, show groom and stable hand.

I have been working with horses for many years. As a result of this I have a lot of experience cleaning stalls, feeding, doing turnout, administering medication and ensuring the barn runs smoothly. I also have experience leading a team as I had a group of kids who worked with me on the weekends and in the summer. I have worked with foals, stallions, and broodmares. I have broke a few horses and trained a few green broke and green horses to sell.

I have experience starting horses and riding green broke and green horses training them to be sold. I’ve also helped with problem horses for friends. I have a lot of flat work experience and I’ve taken a few dressage lessons as well. I have hunter/jumper show experience up to 1m /3ft and 1.15m at home.

I have personally competed hunter/jumper up to 1m/3ft. I’ve worked in a competition barn and I have a lot of experience as a show groom managing up to eight horses at one show.
