Mucking out, daily handling of horses, working as part of a team of grooms, turning out horses to a high standard
I began riding lessons at age 10 riding any horse I could find. These mounts ranged from schoolmasters and riding school ponies to green horses my trainer had rescued. At age 14 I first began working at a local riding school, handling horses, administering medications and grain, and mucking out stalls. This work continued throughout my secondary school career working at various different stables to gain as much experience with horses as possible. At 15 I was able to purchase my own horse and have managed his care since he joined my family.
Most comfortable with English riding but have ridden and assisted with Western. My primary discipline is hunter/jumper but I have experience with dressage and plenty with show jumping as well.
