Two years ago I completed my rider level 4. This summer I have started to get my rider level 5 and completed the jumping portion. My coach and I are working to complete my rider level 5 in the next three months and I intend to get my rider level 6 by the end of next summer 2021.

I'm a grade 11 honour student at Fredricton Christian Academy. For my last semester of grade 12 my school has given me permission to do my Co-op (5 credits) by volunteering at an equestrian facility because I want to pursue a career in Equine Therapy

I have leased quarter horses at a small western lesson barn for three years and assisted in lessons. This involved showing kids how to groom, tack up, and moving poles and standards. Sense having moved to an eventing barn I have leased a clyde-cross mare and showed her at low level hunter jumper shows and schooled cross country. A year and a half ago I bought my own horse, a 16hh gelding, Mickey. On his way from Ontario he partially tore a tendon. For many months I cold hosed, wrapped, and stretched his legs until he was sound. I have one- three lessons a week with my coach Zoe Erickson Meesters. I have done NBEA dressage clinics schooling up to level 1. Every day for the past five years I have been out at the barn riding and doing barn chores. This summer I cleaned an eight stall barn and was responsible for the watering, feeding, and turn out of ten horses. Currently I ride my horse every day. Twice a week we school over fences and five days a week we school dressage.

I work hard, listen carefully, and I am dependable. My tack is always extremely clean as well as any horse I work with. I am very conscientious of the health of the horses I am around and the people at the barns that I am involved in. It has been noticed by barn owners that I have a positive effect on the ride-ability of the horses I have leased or ridden in lessons. My own horse has improved considerably since I have bought him because of my growing experience, dedication, and hard work.

I am an eventer. Dressage level 1. Jumping 3'3 courses (not that height is everything :)) And have jumped some training level fences but mainly school pretraining. I have not competed in eventing but I have attended a dozen hunter-jumped shows. I attended many dressage clinics with my horse and scored 77 on their practice tests for level 1. I have assisted on trail rides with kids and adults. For three summers I have volunteered as a barn-hand at Snider Mountain Ranch which is a children's camp.

I am looking to volunteer January- March 2022. I'm a grade 11 student at Fredricton Christian Academy. I'm hoping to gain experience in the equine industry for my last semester of grade 12. This is organized with my school and they're willing to allow me to gain my last 5 credits by volunteering and living in an equine facility. I want to do this because I plan to study Equine Therapy after high school. I'm hoping that you will allow me to volunteer at your facility.
