- I'm moving to Canada with my partner for 2 years, thanks to the Working Holiday visa. This job search is a priority for me : my partner is a beginner in the equestrian field. But an offer for two could interest us, he would like to learn at my side!
Qualifications
The "Galop 5", an advanced-level qualification in the French equestrian certification system. It certifies a rider's proficiency in riding, horse care, and stable management.
Documents
Duties of Current Occupation
I have 3 years of experience as an graphic designer. I also have experience working with young people as animator at summer camps, where I was responsible for organizing activities and ensuring a fun and safe atmosphere (especially in an equestrian).
Equine Work Experience
I’ve worked as a stable hand and a guide for trail rides, which gave me hands-on experience caring for horses while ensuring each ride was safe and enjoyable. For a few years now, I have been training and taking care of other people's horses (this is called 'half-board' in France).
Specialities
I have already handled foals (taken them to the pasture), stallions (I have trained/ridden a stallion), and I have also led groups for horseback riding tours and taught theoretical/practical lessons for young beginners.
Type of Ride Work
During my long years of training at the riding school, I practiced flatwork, show jumping, dressage, cross-country, but also horseball, vaulting, trail riding, and horse show. I worked with many different horses, from young ones (3 years old) to older ones, including French Saddlebreds, Trotters, Icelandic horses, Camargue horses, Thoroughbreds, Friesians, Haflingers, and many more that I may have forgotten...
Competition Details
I myself have participated in competitions (dressage and show jumping), and I have also been a groom for other competition riders.
