I have a 1.5 y/o Hanoverian who is my upper level show jumping prospect, is there is a possibility that he could come and benefit from european training, that would be an amazing opportunity, but it is not mandatory.
I have a hunter jumper judge certification from Alberta Canada. I have, my "Cavaliers" 1-6 and moved provinces/ sold my horse before finalizing the rest but completing it is not a problem. I need to obtain my Equine First Aid but that as well is not a problem and will be done within the next few months.
Have jump judged, schedules and helped in almost every aspect organize the Bromont Three Day International Event.
Duties of Current Occupation
My occupation is non horse related. I care for patients with ocular diseases and disorders, perform tests required for diagnosing and monitoring the disease / condition's progression, regression or stability ect. and much more.
Equine Work Experience
15 years of riding hunter/jumper/dressage/eventing. Owned 2 OTTB's, the latest bought as a 3 y/o, at his 1st show when he was 4 y/o was in pre-training and we placed 1st and were consistent from there. Also showed in Hunters 3'3 with varied placing in top 5. I then sold him, and never showed in higher levels because i was mostly bringing young/new horses up the levels and introducing them to competitions. At home, i have trained with renowned trainers in all 4 disciplines, jumping up in the 4 ft mark. I now own a 1.5 y/o Hanoverian from excellent German bloodlines, who is my upper level show jumper prospect. ( if the opportunity arises, i would love him to come with me on this experience and get training in Europe, but it is not a must)
Patience and perseverance with horses with difficulties ei: spooky, tempered, ect. Having worked with horses of all types, from drafts to OTTB's to Warmbloods, i have a good understanding of their differences in behavior and temper. I love a challenge, and am a perfectionist, especially when it comes to things that are not mine. I love spending time off the saddle with horses, it builds a bond of trust and understanding that goes a long way when riding. I communicate very well with horses.
Type of Ride Work
Never ending passion for Show jumping, 98% of which is flat work/dressage. I am an extremely hard working person who needs to do things right. I will take any challenge and any sort of work, from mucking stalls & painting jumps to groom & riding horses. I am eager to learn and want to impress.
