Hello, I am a French and Swiss rider and teacher, looking for a job as a rider or groom in dressage stables in the UK. Mainly to improve my English. Only place where I can bring my young horse. Accommodation would be a plus. More details by PM. I am very motivated.
I do have some Equine courses like horsemanship, trainer, ground exercises. I'm a veterinary assistant and groomer.
At the equestrian center I used to clean up the stalls, prepare the horses, ride them for a warm up, feed them, clean up the place, help with competitions, bandage the horses' wounds, and clean the tack.
I have worked in an equestrian center with 60 horses for 3 years. Some foals, but more mature horses.
I can easily communicate with people and read animal behaviour (which makes it easier to avoid serious problems); I have the ability to manage and organize time, finances and space; I am a perfectionist when it comes to cleaning; I can speak English, Portuguese and basic Spanish; and I have basic farm maintenance knowledge. I don't have the ability to work with stallions or broodmares but I'm willing to learn about it. I'm a quick learner.
My ridding level is pretty basic, I have ridden mature horses, some more spooky then others. Flat work, a little bit of jumping. Starting horses only on ground exercises.
I have never worked for a competition, but I have competed once, in a CCE modality.
