Duties of Current Occupation
I started at Lavi Equestrian Center taking care of the stables and animals, including cleaning stalls, feeding, grooming, and maintaining a clean environment. Later, I transitioned into teaching horseback riding, starting with Baby Class and progress
Equine Work Experience
My experience with horses began in childhood on my family’s farm, where I always loved being around animals, especially horses. I spent weekends riding and learning how to care for them, developing a natural connection with horses from an early age.
Wanting to deepen my knowledge, I began studying Veterinary Medicine at university, completing two semesters before the pandemic interrupted my studies. Although I did not return, shortly after I had the opportunity to work professionally at an equestrian center, where I was able to apply some of the things I had learned in college, as well as expand and refine my practical experience.
At the riding school, I gained experience in more refined riding techniques, handling sport horses, teaching riding lessons, administering medications, providing proper nutrition, and working on jumping skills. I successfully helped students progress and prepare to compete in show jumping.
Specialities
The riding center wasn’t very big, so the team wasn’t made up of many people. I, along with another instructor — we were the most experienced — managed the lessons and the work with the horses, from young colts to stallions.
Type of Ride Work
I have experience riding a wide range of horses, including young colts, green horses, well-trained school horses, sport horses, and stallions. I worked with horses of different temperaments and training levels, from beginner-safe mounts to more sensitive and competitive jumpers. I’ve ridden horses for flatwork, jumping, and lesson purposes, always adapting my approach to each horse’s needs and behavior.
Competition Details
At the equestrian center, we regularly held internal competitions between our students. My participation in these events was mainly for horse presentations. As an instructor, I also took my students to compete in regional championships at other riding schools, gaining valuable experience in organizing and preparing riders for competitions.
