Qualifications

I hold both Belgian Horse Licenses A and B and have completed various academic courses on horse biomechanics and the impact of the rider. Equestrian sports require a deep collaboration between rider and horse, with training focused on teaching horses to respond to rider cues. The rider’s posture, symmetry, and balance influence the horse's movement, with the goal being a harmonious, biomechanically sound relationship between both.

Duties of Current Occupation

I owned and managed my own stable with 15 horses, where I provided riding lessons for, adults, children (with disabilities). I also ran a dedicated equine therapy program. My work focused on education, inclusion, and the therapeutic horse benefits

Equine Work Experience

I’ve been riding since age 8, starting with a teacher from the Army Riding School of Saumur, focusing on academic riding principles. At 20, I moved to Atlanta, working with western horses for a year. Upon returning, I trained 6 hours a week in dressage and at 22, rode 8 horses a day for 4 years under several Saumur instructors. I earned 2 Belgian licenses and began teaching children and adults in a local club until I opened my own stable, Pépito’s Pony Farm.https://www.facebook.com/depepitos

Specialities

I worked as a freelance equine professional at Luk Van Puymbroeck Stables (LVP Stables), where I assisted with the care and handling of mares and foals. My responsibilities included supporting breeding activities, foal handling, and general stable management, always prioritizing the health and welfare of the horses.

Type of Ride Work

My main focus is dressage, but I’m an open-minded rider with a passion for learning. I’ve explored various disciplines including horseball, rodeo, cow penning, trail riding, vaulting, groundwork (Ferdinand Hempflinger), conscious riding, jumping, and the art of academic riding. I’ve ridden a wide range of breeds, including Iberian, Arabian, Tennessee Walking, Quarter Horses, Thoroughbreds, Trakehners, Belgian Warmbloods, and Coldbloods. My grandfather always taught me that to develop your skills

Competition Details

In my 20s, I competed in dressage, cross-country, and jumping. Later, I coached clients for competitions, providing not only technical guidance but also mental support to help them succeed.
