I spent 4 years volunteering after school, at the weekend and during the holidays at my local riding school, in the UK. My yard was home to about 25 horses, and I worked as a general stable hand. I undertook many equine care responsibilities; as I became more experienced I also started attending competitions as a groom, before becoming a competitve show jumper myself. Although it has been a while since I have worked in the equine industry, it is something that I would really love to get back into, especially during my Working Holiday here in Australia.
