BMedSc Currently studying MAnimalSc online and part-time
I am currently studying animal science online and part time, specialising in animal health and nutrition. I have previously worked at a large commercial trail riding and breeding establishment, where I assisted in trail rides and horse husbandry.
Worked for Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures Horse Riding for about two years, where I fed and bathed horses, cleaned yards, caught and bridled, tacked up and un-tacked horses, assisted with mustering, assisted with trail rides and lessons, and assisted with the breeding program and unwell horses.
I also worked as a stable hand in a small racing stable near Sydney, where I fed and bathed horses, mucked out stables, assisted vets and farriers, and assisted with treating basic injuries.
I also took part in the 2017 International Society for Equitation Science (ISES) Conference as a volunteer, where I assisted with demonstrations on the practical day – Catching, moving, holding, and keeping horses and foals comfortable and calm before and during demonstrations, liaised with professionals, and assisted with presentations and talks.
I also took part in equine research trails while in Wagga last year at Charles Sturt University.
Some dressage and cattle mustering, and a lot of trail riding.
