Daily care of polo ponies including feeding, mucking out, grooming, tack cleaning, exercising, match preparation, and post-match care. General yard management in a busy polo environment.
Equine Work Experience
I am an experienced and hardworking groom from Australia with a strong background in horse care and competition environments. I have completed a full UK polo season, gaining hands-on experience with polo ponies including daily care, exercising, and preparation for chukkas and tournaments.
I have experience in both English and Western riding, general stable management, and working with young and competition horses. I am physically fit, reliable, and comfortable with the long hours and fast pace of the polo season. I particularly enjoy grooming and horse care and am keen to continue developing my skills, especially in areas such as veterinary care and young horse development.
Specialities
Experience administering basic medication (e.g. drenches and injections under instruction), handling and working young horses, and caring for fit competition horses. Confident around a busy yard, maintaining high standards of horse welfare. Keen to continue learning more about veterinary care within a polo environment.
