Producing riders of all levels
Started working as a groom in Perth Western Australia. Travelled overseas though Us and Europe working in a variety of equine jobs such as groom, rider and team manager. Returned to Australia and started a riding school/showjumping yard that I ran for 15 years as well as a riding school in Sydney. The showjumping yard had 41 horses all fully stabled, 33 of those horses were client horses. All our clients came to us as riding school clients and purchased horses as a direct result of my encouragement and were personally assisted in identifying the most suitable horse by myself. All clients competed on some level according to their schedule, budget and riding level. I personally supervised all transport to and from shows for the horses. We attended competitions on a weekly basis taking a minimum of 18 horses and up to 30 at times. I have also run training days and competitions on my property.
Specialising in showjumping with both horse and riders.
Taught extensively in a riding school situation and very capable of starting riders on a first time lesson basis and progressing to building groups and instructing in a regular group lesson environment.
My competitive riding has been in the field of showjumping. I have educated and broken in many young horses, as well as both riding and coaching people to assist in the re-education process of horse and rider combinations requiring help. In the UK, I rode and taught on a Dressage Yard, owned by Kate Hamilton, the first female rider/coach awarded a fellowship by the BHS. I have ridden in Showing classes and competed personally as well as coaching pupils riding in lower level Dressage.
Competed in showjumping up to 1:40m in Australia, UK, Europe and the US.
Have been solely based in Australia for the last 16yrs.
