Equine Work Experience
Been riding for the last four years. Took riding lessons for over a year. Competed in dressage, showjumping, eventing, sporting days and hacking classes. I regularly ride other peoples horses and help train them. I can break in horses to a degree.
For the period of 8 months I worked at a riding school where I would assist with feeding horses, catching and grooming horses, and tacking up ready for lessons. This could be anywhere from three horses to ten horses. I would muck out stalls, although only done for show prepped horses. Washing horses, plaiting and braiding horses was part of the process. I would also show and compete some horses for the stable.
I have showjumped horses up to 1 mtr with the ambition to go highwr. I have competed to novice dressage. I have won ODE competitions.
I work at a trail Riding establishment where I feed, catch, groom, check shoes and injuries, and tack up horses to take on trail rides.
Very confident around all horses, especially younger or larger horses. I deal very well with problem horses. I am very motivated and a very quick learner.
