I have ridden and cared for horses while riding in a competitive stable for 7 years and have been riding and training off the track thoroughbreds for eventing and showjumping for the last 3 years. I have been competing in both of these disciplines for four years. During this period I have also cared for horses hile stabled at events, and on the yard including preparation for competition and daily duties such as feeding, mucking out and general grooming.
Type of Ride Work
While I have not ridden professionally I have ridden a variety of horses, including young horses (3yo and above), off the track thoroughbreds, warmbloods and stock horses. I primarily trained off the track racehorses, educating them in flying lead changes, counter canter and schooling them for showjumping and eventing. I also regularly galloped them to maintain competition fitness.
I have competed up to 1.10m showjumping, qualifying for the NSW State Interschool competition at this height. I have also competed in eventing, at Introductory level in Australia.
