Basic building, fence, and property maintenance. Tasks include but are not limited to: Fixing fences - electric, post and board, post and rail. Driving tractor to bush hog pastures, empty spreader, etc. Light carpentry and mechanical skills (esp. small engine repair) necessary. No mucking but must be able to help unload hay wagon. Electrical, plumbing and horticultural skills a plus. Some horse experience ideal but not necessary; can train. No paid riding, training or teaching opportunities.
Must be reliable, responsible, organized, conscientious and friendly. Must be willing to work outside in all types of mid-east-coast weather.
The farmhouse has a Master Bedroom suite which is available for the right person or couple. It is a huge room (617sq ft), has a fireplace, a large walk-in closet, and a bathroom with a separate toilet and shower. There may be room in the garage for a small car. House is shared with farm manager who is quiet and easy-going. There are 2 other bedrooms which are used for guests when the farm hosts events (a few times a year). Unobtrusive pets considered, horses welcome.
Discount on board for horse(s) may be negotiable. Housing on farm is available for the right person. Couples may be considered but there is only enough work for one p/t person.

23 acres, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, 12 stall barn, boarding facility - field, stall, and Paddock Paradise. Immediate access to trails and local foxhunting club. Facility is located in a quiet rural area of Montgomery Co Maryland with shops and equestrian attractions very close by.
