This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in all aspects a breeding operation. We will foal 50+ mares and stand 8 stallions, including the top saddlebred stallion in the country. Duties will include everything from feeding, vaccinating, assisting the vet, semen collection, inseminating mares, and of course foaling. There is the possibility that this will result in a permanent position at the end of the season.
The intern is expected to work six days a week, as well as being on call for foalings an average of 5 nights a week. This job is a 24/7 commitment, but is guaranteed to expand your knowledge and skills in the field of equine reproduction. We believe in providing a very hands on experience for our interns. Willing to split into January-April and May-August if needed to work with students school schedules.
