Job Title: Junior Academy Coach

Job Purpose: The Junior Academy Coach is responsible for delivering safe, structured, and engaging pony riding lessons for children at the academy, in line with recognized training standards and the French Galop certification system in Equestrian Training.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct pony riding lessons for children (beginners to intermediate levels) Deliver training aligned with Galop syllabus and prepare riders for progression exams Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed for riders, ponies, and facility use Teach foundational riding skills including balance, posture, and control Introduce basic horse care: grooming, tacking, and stable etiquette Support rider confidence, discipline, and progression tracking Assist in maintaining pony welfare, fitness, and suitability for lessons Communicate progress updates to parents and academy management

Requirements: Galop certification (minimum Galop 5 higher preferred) Proven experience coaching children in pony riding Strong practical riding skills (flatwork essential; basic jumping preferred) Knowledge of horse care and stable management Strong focus on safety and child development Patient, disciplined, and child-friendly coaching style Good communication and teamwork skills

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Rider progression rate across Galop levels Safety record (zero preventable incidents) Lesson quality and parent satisfaction feedback Attendance and retention of junior riders Proper care and readiness of assigned ponies Compliance with academy training and safety standards
