Do you have a love for horses and a love to be outside? Red Ridge Ranch has just what you are looking for! Apply now and trail guide on horseback in a fast paced, family owned, forward moving riding stable that is open to the public 365 days a year! Over 600 acres of trails adjoining the beautiful Lemonwier river. We are looking to hire qualified individuals who are self motivated, portray a strong work ethic and are able to communicate efficiently with customers and staff. Experience with horses is a plus but we will train the right candidate for the job. Red Ridge Ranch is home to more than 130 horses, providing a horse for every experience level. Our guides will make new lifelong friends and memories while earning good money for the season. Red Ridge Ranch is currently hiring full time trail guides and barn hands for the up coming season. Job Duties include but not limited to: Morning/evening chores, brushing and saddleing 50+ horses(with other help), cleaning stalls, guiding trail rides, able to give clear basic instructions to novice people on horses. Positions available -As early as March 1, 2023 to October 31, 2023 (MUST be able to work thru Oct.) Please do not request information if you have to return to school. **On site housing for qualified individuals is available. Red Ridge Ranch is located just north of Wisconsin Dells, America's Waterpark Capital of the World, giving employees ideal day off opportunities to experience what Wisconsin has to offer. Along with a variety of waterparks, Wisconsin supplies a wide array of outdoor activities including hiking and biking trails, lake side activities such as boating, jet skiing, and tubing, and multiple shopping opportunities. Requirements
A love of the outdoors and animals in general. Must be a confident rider with good communication skills. Most customers/riders have never been on a horse, so patience and teaching abilities are a plus. Must have an outgoing personality with skills necessary to manage people. You will need a sense of humor and a ton of patience.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Can't have allergies to hay. We unload all our own hay and have to mow around the stables.
