Join the Windchase Team! Phyllis Dawson (VA) is looking for a long-term working student at Windchase Eventing. Receive daily lessons, full board for your horse, experience riding multiple horses, housing, and shipping to competitions, a package with a value of over $3500 per month – in return for barn work and horse care. We are looking for a dedicated individual with some experience working with horses. You must have your own health insurance. You need to be competent handling keen event horses, and have basic stable management skills. Eventing experience is not required, but competent riding skills are a plus.
Daily instruction from top trainers, board for your horse (if you bring one), housing for yourself, coaching at competitions, and opportunities to learn, gain experience and compete in Eventing. Also learn about stable management, teaching skills, and running a successful equestrian business. Opportunity for a stipend for qualified apprentices.
You will share a 4-bedroom house on the farm with three other students or employees. Utilities are paid. Some experience working in barns and with horses required.
Requirements
Experience riding and caring for horses is required.
Accommodation
A shared student house on the farm, each student will have their own bedroom.
