Part Time Riding Instructor Position Part time Riding Instructor at a hunter barn focusing on quality riding with a hunt seat equitation focus. Riders are beginner to intermediate. We have amazing school horses that also participate in hunting and local shows. The opportunity for this candidate could also receive opportunities to ride and lesson. Weekend and afterschool and business hours is key. Our facility strongly encourages camaraderie, supportive and drama free environment. Ages will range from 4 to adult. Lessons are paid per rider. Starting at $25.00 per student. Lessons are an hour and the instructor helps teach caring for their mount and tacking and untacking for the lesson. Group lessons can have up to 4 riders and the lesson is run longer, but instructor is paid per rider that could be $100.00 per lesson. It is imperative that the instructor has hunt seat equitation knowledge and this is how we start all of our students. Van Vixen Farm is located in the heart of the Virginia horse country. A 96 acre horse facility, with an all weather rubber riding ring 150X250, access to thousands of acres to ride across, two round pens, two wash stalls and various paddocks set along the Blue Ridge Mountains in Bluemont Va, just five minutes from the legendary Upperville Horse show grounds.
