We are seeking at least 2 reliable, horse-savvy individuals to join our team as contracted Barn Assistants for a private, 6-stall barn and small, nearby paddocks. Perfect opportunity for someone local looking for consistent, short-form outdoor work. February and March 2026 start dates.

SCHEDULE & STRUCTURE

Shifts: Morning & evening shifts daily; can be done before / after other employment. Duration: Each shift typically lasts between 45 and 90 minutes. Coverage: 365 days a year. At least 2x assistants ensure full coverage. Teamwork: Assistants responsible for coordinating schedules with team & owner. Trial Period: Must complete five days of shifts prior to being offered a formal contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Stall & Paddock Maintenance: Mucking and bedding stalls; cleaning paddocks Feeding & Watering: Deliver grain / hay & water for both stalled and pasture horses. Turnout: Safely leading horses to and from paddocks/fields. Blanketing: Managing blankets during cold weather, per owner direction. Communication: Interacting professionally with horse owners & following directions.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience: Previous horse handling experience is required. Communication: Must understand and speak English at a reasonable level. Physical Fitness: This is a physical job involving moderate lifting (30- 50lbs). Reliability: Strong work ethic, regular schedule, active cell phone, and transportation. Professionalism: Attention to detail for horse health and stall/paddock cleanup. Background check required. References preferred.
