We are a breeding farm that primarily produces jumpers, along with a handful of hunters. Most of our broodmares have jumped to 1.40 +, up to 1.60 m. Sires of offspring include Canturo, Dakota VDL, Contendro I, Candy de Nantuel, Carambole, Balou du Rouet, Canturano, Gem Twist (via Gemini xx), Quite Easy, Rotspon, Chilli Willi, and Faustino de Tili.
What we are looking for: A young horse trainer specializing in hunter/jumpers with a strong dressage background that would like to train, develop, show and represent for sale a nice crop of young hunter/jumpers for sale. The trainer's focus should be steady progress and an honest representation to sellers rather than a quick flip.
We welcome outside clients for this trainer, and encourage them to attract outside clientele. Arrangements with your own, outside clientele will be independent of the farm and not managed by the farm. Stall board is available for clientele.
For the farm's horses, trainers on the farm will be working in tandem with or underneath our Young Horse Trainer, depending on experience.
Responsibilities will include:
- Riding and training 4+ year olds after their 60-90 day start
- Assisting in free jumping days
- Showing 4, 5, and 6 year olds, including at A shows and the KWPN-NA Keuring IBOP tests
- Riding horses for sales videos and prospective buyers; describing these horses in an honest but positive manner to potential buyers
- Marketing and networking of young horses
Average work week will look like:
- M-F (exceptions for shows)
- Flexible hours in the winter around 6 hours/day, 7-12 or 6-12 in the summers
- Groom to tack and ready horses for you
- Around farm 6 horses in training at a time, negotiable.
Position will be open to fill late Summer or early Fall 2023.
Requirements
Applicants should have experience training young horses that are 3-4 years old and ideally showing young horses 5-6 years old. References will be required and checked on.
Riding skills necessary include a strong base and confidence to ride through a spook or buck. "Strong base" should include staying balanced and comfortable enough to keep a soft hand without squeezing with your calves, falling back into the saddle, or using your heels each stride.
Applicants should also be able to keep an even keel on emotions around young horses, and be able to read/understand the horses' body language accurately.

Medium-sized breeding farm near Dallas, TX specializing in well-bred warmbloods for the hunter and jumper disciplines. Our speciality is in upper level hunters to upper level jumpers. Such names as Balou du Rouet, Diamant de Semilly, Nimmerdor, and Cornet Obolensky can be found in the first and second generations of the horses we produce.
