Brigadoon Farm is seeking a tough, motivated and hardworking student to join our team! All horses on site have produced over a million dollars in reining and cutting. There are no boarders nor outside training horses. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced training barn while building skills both on the ground and in the saddle, Must be 19 or older. Includes on-site housing, salary based on experience, and an opportunity to become a permanent part of the team.The current staff consists of young adults who have been here for several years, are fun to. work with, and teach in a mentoring rather than an autocratic fashion. Housing includes a private room with access to a shared bathroom, living room, dining area and kitchen. Daily responsibilities include helping with the stall cleaning, feeding, turnout, general care of horses, grooming, tacking, untacking, exercising both mounted and unmounted, bathing and basic barn/grounds maintenance. For the right person there will be opportunities to show horses. This internship is designed for students serious about learning to design and implement activities designed to increase the horsemanship skills of others, and who want to immerse themselves in a professional training atmosphere. Some of the amenities include a covered arena, a covered round pen, a reining track, access to cattle and 1000's of acres of riding and more.
